Couldn't find a Rock Band thread for PS3 so opened one.
Any idea when this game will arrive in our shores and price?
Sadly the GH3 controller is incompatible with Rock Band :(

any1 getting this game? i've heard from our neighbor the game
is region locked for the 360 and it doesnt comes with a
bass guitar / extra guitar. you have to purchase it later next year.

Yeah from what i have read, Rock Band comes with one guitar, one set of drums, and on mic. The game and accessories will only be sold separately in the UK on February 4 next year.

The XBOX 360 Xplorer guitar can be played on both Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
But PS3's Guitar Hero guitars cannot be used to play Rock Band (altho the other way round is possible - just without the extra 'effects')

Since it just came out for PS3, i guess will have to wait some time before it arrives here..

i went to games hideout in cineleisure 2 days back to inquire about this game, and according to the guy there he said they are waiting for the asian version to be released.

If buy from US, the game set(inc the instruments) alone is roughly RM700 + shipment another RM300, already RM1k, who gonna buy?

1 of us buy 1 full set..and buy 1 extra copy of the game..
den we just divide accordingly?
like let say..i oni need the drums..maybe u wan the guitar..since they don sell seperately..we jus buy 1 set..den all we need is just 1 more copy of the game? then we can just divide the cost of the package+extra copy game... den only divide out according which instrument we wan?

but the guitar gameplay is abit easy compared to GH3.
doesnt seem that much challenging either.

just got a quote from bernard...it's RM 750 for the bundle.
and yea, terion's idea seems more reasonable. better get individual instruments instead of the bundle. can't be bothered to fork out RM 750 for a game lol.

guys regarding the bundle it contains only 1 guitar right? but was watching the demo in youtube and realise there is 1 person playing the bass and another 1 playing the guitar.

my question is i need to buy another guitar to play the lead/bass?

Yep, you need an additional guitar. But it seems that they might release a patch to make it work with the GH3 guitar.

The PS3 does have PS3 connectors....and GH3 and Rock Band are both compatible with the GH2 controller....it may work...
