I don't think u can find Mac OS for download. Mac OS is only available in Apple PC
arvin2212
i beg to differ...u can download Mac OS thru torrent... i think by using vmware u can boot into mac in ur windows comp... and if u have Mac OS designed to work with intel processors, then u can dual boot MAC and windows...

Mac OS is not designed for ordinary PC. Neither they are legal to be installed. However, you can actually boot Mac OS X legally on your PC if you are a apple developer.

I see, lets just say I have Mac OS installed in my PC, does that means I also gain the benefits from a normal Mac OS?

They are not natively compatible. To install it on ordinary PC, you need a patched version of Mac OS X.
Most of the features in Mac OS X will be usable if you get to install it properly. However, they are buggy and a little slower based on my experience. The installation may be a hassle, even for prepatched versions. Many hardwares are unsupported and you might end up with a blank screen or a stationary apple logo. It's purely experimental.

mac use boot camp to install windows in their machine which is specially design for mac machine
yawhong
if mac can install in window, they will not earn any profit.. that why they design mac os can only use in apple comp

One of the main reason because of mac osx uses EFI(Next Gen) when switching to intel platform, whereas windows still using BIOS(Old School). So basically bootcamp does similar thing as partition magic, plus addition of BIOS emulation in order for windows to work wink.gif

mac can be install on window base pc..
u need to find and download a OS called "OS X86"
u can easily find it in google.
but the setup is abit tricky for me last time.. thats like 2 years ago.
but now i think thy made a installer for it already..
u can try go google it.. u need to install it on different partition.
OS X86 is very slow and laggy on a P4 2.ghz 512MB ram system..
try to install it on a better system.

im not using it anymore cause i bought myself a mac.

if you are willing to download 6 GB mac os or prepatch 4.7 GB, by all mean, you can try to install mac on your PC. Natively (with patch tho), Mac OSX leopard will work in any intel Core 2 Duo CPU. but, there is a forum explain how to make it work on pentium and amd CPU.

My instalation end up with so many bugs and non supported hardware...bah

FYI, mac os x, base on UNIX..hmmm...in lay man term..is it base on linux kernel too?
ninty
linux is unix-like, but it's based on GNU
not a single bit of unix code in it(unless you believe SCO's claims)

No need to be C2D. As long as your processor is SSE3 intel, then without a doubt. For SSE2 or AMD, then you need other patches. Mostly they are included. And the current news, "they" play with EFI lo.. biggrin.gif Get the EFI emulation and install the un-patched mac osx. Can be update without any doubt or problem.

Sad thing is it must be with Intel Chipset mobo and with SSE3 intel processor.

Yea.. mac osx is based on UNIX. But it is not based on linux kernel wink.gif

Oh, I must have missed out the development of OS X x86. There is EFI emulation already? Available to the "public"?

yea.. it is already in the public. Hmm, i not so sure can post in here or not. I mean the links. Just go insanelymac forum. There got link on how to install un-patch mac osx (tiger/leopard) via EFI emulation. As I stated in my previous post, mobo MUST be intel chipset (sadly mine is VIA cry.gif ) and must be intel SSE3 processor (PD & C2D will work or some batch of P4 do support SSE3 as well). Then, you are good to go for some "dirty" hack brows.gif
