whenever i open the gif file(large size, say 1mb) with Windows Picture and fax viewer the animation is slow(laggy). Why? What's the free software i can use to view it(just viewing enough, no need edit feature)

any web browser, any video player and irfanview, also are able to preview gif without much problem.

thanks. tried windows media player, IE 6. both also laggy. try firefox 2.0 very smooth.

did u try ACD see? but that is not free.
