I dun wan format my external drive because there is some file cannot be copy.. so i plan to merge it..

I know partition magic can done this.. but it will cause 1 un-deleteable folder, last time i tried.

What folder is it? have you tried to take ownership of that folder?
Also instead of merge, you can just mount that partition to another partition's folder. It doesn't make the latter partition larger, only it saves one drive letter.

when i try merge the partition.. it prompt me to create a folder to move all file inside to it and that makes the partition able to merge

about the ownership i also not sure.. because even i formatted my window, i also not able to delete it.

if u do not need those files, delete it and I am just curious after format the file still there?

Play safe please .. copy the files out, merge n fresh format into 1 single partition and copy back the files .... easy eh?

i also wish can copy.. i also stated.. the file cannot be copied.. maybe the path lost.. but i able to open it.. juz cannot copy/move/cut .. sad.gif

but its not internal drive.. its external.. do that got any different if im using safe mode?
