hi guys, i faced a problem.
i neva use this software b4, but my boss want me to print a ground floor plan in A4 paper size. i opened the file, and click "plot" = print.
but the printing is empty. nothing printed... help me pls..

btw, its AUTOCAD 2002..

You need to choose "window" in the printing options (bottom left of the print screen from memory) then make a window around the area you are printing in then it will print.

Or, use edrawings and it can automatically pick up the entire print area (autocad can also but in edrawings it's automatic I think)

alright. i tried the way u mention. click "window" and select an area. but then its only print some line. i think its a part of the drawing.

btw, edrawings.. what is that..?

i clicked on the print preview. its empty..
headche.. suddenly ask me to do dis..

type 'plot' [spacebar/enter]

in the 'plot device' tab choose the printer/plotter you want to use.
in 'plot style table' choose 'monochrome' (if you want B&W printing)
you might need to change the color setting to B&W in the printer properties too,
click [properties] next to plotter name.

in 'plot setting' tab choose paper size, drawing orientation (potrait or landscape).
plot area -> 'extend' if you want to print the whole drawing.
set the scale (if you know the scale) or just 'scaled to Fit'.
click 'centre the plot' then click 'ok'

well, that's what I usually do, hope it works for you too...Good Luck.

hi axymax, i follow ur way. in the print preview i saw the drawing. but its very small and tiny. how to resize it to fit on a A4 paper..??

BTW I am using Autocad 2004, I think no problem reading 2002 drawing.
