I install winfax Pro 10 for my customer and the winfax cannot auto receive, just can send and manual recieve only. I already set it to auto receive.
I try with windows fax....also the same. I try another PC also same. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I'm using Aztech 56k internal modem (smartlink).

i faced this problem of cannot auto receive, then found out is the internal 56k modem faulty.

but said u tried on another pc, are u using back the same modem?

if yes, most likely the modem is out..otherwise, if you set auto receive, it should work.

one more thing is pls set the modem speed to 14400bps. not too high, it will be cut off very often.

if the modem passed the winfax test during the installation, then it should be ok.

so, maybe the software is corrupted..

I already find out the problem. The problem is the original driver inside the windows cannot function well even there is no problem show in the device manager. It made it cannot auto receive. I reinstall that modem driver with the cd which come with the modem. Evenry work now.

thanks
