Since I noticed that there are a lot of people who uses XLink Kai for Monster Hunter Freedom 2, I made this up for those who wants to try out other games online using XLink Kai..

I'd like to use this thread to set up matches. Hopefully the members here with Wi-Fi aren't too few and I can see that it's expanding even more each day..

For first time users, a TUTORIAL will be shown on how to get started with XLink Kai..

I use Xlink kai as well but for the XBOX1 haha

I usually play my psp games online with infrastructure mode. Not Xlink.

Some games do not have Infrastructure mode as they are games capable of Ad-Hoc only.. and that is what XLink Kai is meant to do, playing Ad-Hoc games online..

no, your computer will do the internet linking
link your psp with wifi adapter using adhoc
as easy as that

the "psp online" you mentioned is called infrastructure mode, which involves access point
for xlink kai, it is adhoc, no access point required
so in an easy word, your psp still in adhoc mode while you are able to play it online with the help from kai

SWAT not bad for a tactical shooter
just graphic not that superb, it is psp after all
and controls need some time to get used to it

Hopefully by tonight I'll be able to try it on Kai..

Just got my USB dongle today. I need some help getting the right setup for my computer. Most of the tutorial out there does not involve a router in the picture. What should I do to make it work?

a wifi connection with access point is called infrastructure

all adhoc based games is the same
unless the game will generate random SSID like gundam seed game
other than that all you need to do just make sure the game send out ssid and capture the ssid on wifi
then it is good to go

Thanks for the info.. but I tried it with Kazeru with Ace Combat X and we had a connection problem right at the end when the game wants to load to the In-Game.. but before that we manage to pass through the Game Settings part after using the random SSID we manage to obtain..

xlink kai only work with thier router or any router also? just that you install the software ?? is that it? new here... im using D-link router

as long your pc got internet connection and port 30000 not blocked
basically it will work

no you need a planex wifi adapter
thats the most important item
router just supply internet connection to you
unless you using linksys router, then you don't need another wifi adapter
other than that, go get a planex or wifimax wifi adapter

erpp.. did u understand what is kai, what is the usb wifi adapter means? huhu.. ur question is like u dun understand anything at all.. kai is installed at ur pc.. not ur psp. so as long as u want to bring ur pc/laptop anywhere and as long as the place got internet connection.. then the answer is yes. if not.. just stay at home.

u can play with infra mode.. but not with adhoc mode. such as MHF2.. they only got adhoc mode.

i just have to buy planex (about 70 right?) plug it to my computer and setup Xlink and connect my psp with ad hoc and im able to play online?

i just my adapter but it detects my psp as on the right is it normal? and when i join the monster hunter freedom 2 game i can only establish connection to host and i cant ping the others and when the game starts there is a connection error? can any sifu help me? really wanted to play mh:f2

yea , i just had my kai set up last night .

i off all my firewall but i onli can see the host online only but not the other playr and i cant ping the other players

could u see other ppl in the guild hall ?

Hi guys. Need some help from members that have more experience with kai. Finally got myself the Planex wireless dongle and got it install in my computer. Later I have install Xlink kai evolution 7 into my pc and after setting the config based on page 1, I was able to login to kai. The only problem I have is that kai cannot detect my PSP. It mentioned something about port forwarding to 30000 but I thought I did that when I config kai. So any advice on this? Thanks in advance.
