well maybe you have high metabolism so the food u take in gets used up fast for energy...well try eating more?...or eat more frequently...or you could try what other forumer say about gaining weight using appeton weight gain...but remember...do things gradually (don't rush things to expect results immediatly, body takes time)...gaining weight suddenly in a short period of time can be a bad thing for your body...same as losing weight in a short time.
best thing is to either consult a doctor or a dietician for professional advice.

Gaining weight is not easy though. Some of my friends are taking quite some time.
But I have a colleague who followed my plan and gained 2kg in 2 months. I was surprised. He told me he had high metabolism rate. He said he need to consume more carbohidrates so that it won't get all burned during meals.

did she follow the instructions exactly? a lot of time people failed to see result because they never follow instructions
for you, you have to eat more. eat more means eat more but small meals. you have to feed yourself sandwich in between your main meals.

I dunno about you, but your stats seems ideal. Why not you post a pix in here minus the head (to avoid the buayas). I don't think at 159cm, 46kg is "too slim". Slim maybe but I don't think you look like a twig.
And I know you want to make your husband happy, but this isn't the way. If you are happy with your outlook, you should maintain it. For better or worse = for thinner or fatter, remember your vows? Or has your husband forgotten?

isnt that a good problem to have?
thinking on how to get fat is always better than thinking on those nasty diet and exercise.
but i do know certain ppl they can't get fat evenly. somehow the fats are distributed to tummy and face but not anywhere else.
i'm sure eat healthy and sleep early should be fine.

alot people thinks that doing exercise is a way of losing weight. but that is not 100% true. in fact, that will be the healthiest way to gain weight. don't be suprise though. alot ppl will recommend to eat alot (ice cream, fast food, supper) but that is really not a good idea. it will not only jumble up ur diet, but it might turn into serious cases of eating disorders and in another way, torturing ur health. Please love ur body! however, by doing exercise which i suggest to go to the gym, u will actually tone ur body and turn your body fat into muscles. Muscles is the heaviest component in your body. With a combination of healthy diet of high carb (rice, noodles, bread) and protein (fish, chicken and meat) it will help you to increase your body weight. You will not only gain weight, but you also will look fit.

hmm 1 question .. how u turn ur fats to muscle when u don't even have any fats on ur body?(for those skinny people)
star fish
Oct 27 2007, 04:25 PM
for those skinny ppl, u don have to burn ur fats then. when u exercise and eat a balance meal, u will build up muscles. U will look more toned up with some flesh (not fat) besides increasing ur body weight. as i mentioned, sometimes heavy doesn't mean u are fat. because the weight may come from ur body muscle. some people may be light but the fat percentage may be high. so the old fashioned way of eating balance diet and working out is the best way for healthy lifestyle...

Hei there, personal experience - Fill yourself with carbohydrates. In other words, eat more rice, noodles, spaghetti and bread. I have gained 5 kgs in about half a year. However, i don't think it's healthy if there is too much intake. Just eat reasonably. Cheers

i used to be under weight. then i gained up..although now im triyng to maintained my bmi. its on the dot. but that was caused by stress.
eating bahaviour: never skip breakfast. eat at least three full meals a day. on time everyday. never skip any meal. take more meat.
others: maintain stress level (if you're the type who lose weight under stress, like myself), make sure you sleep well and early, exercise

the weight thing completely depends on your body's natural metabolic rate.
The really skinny people who stay skinny even after eating lotsa food are the ones with amazingly high metabolism... and I'm jealous of them, honestly, because I like to eat, but i have horrible metabolism so i have to control my intake.
You might wanna stay skinny though, because your metabolic rate starts slowing down in your mid-20s, so it gets harder and harder to lose weight from that point onwards.
