Not a very good spec but good looking phone. To me not practical. Its more of a eye candy rather than a work horse.

Most of the apps for smartphone does not need alot of processing power, but its better to have a faster processor in case you want to use GPS. Anyway, as both are having QVGA resolution, I think smartphone and PDA has around the same performance

technically, should be the same as dopod..
since now HTC took over, practically everything should be the same still except that now its HTC devices we are getting.. not dopod..

wahhh.. evilpuppy.. u got the new htc touch aaaa... so now u own 2 pdas??? touch + 830pro??? so kayaaaaaa...

you still have alot of program memory free, all you need is to upgrade the storage card (sd card).. it dont think the install program consume near 900MB must be alot of media files inside

well.. its still the same as WM6.0 pocket pc phone. the only add on feature is the touchflo + 3D Cube. im sorry to disappointed you that this touch doesnt work like iphones. and its doesnt have any zooming feature either.

so fast ya.. cant tahan. performance speed same as dopod818 but if overclock it to 400Mhz would be better, lack of Memory 30+MB of storage usage. unlike 838pro i can load more than 10 application on main storage. and i miss my keyboard and the OK button.

this gadget is not high end gadget, it's for entry-level. they launched in Taiwan is about NTD15900 so convert to RM is RM1600 like that.

Dopod already release a new ROM for this phone

Another Issues found:-
1. Unable to launch Audio Manager.
2. The Alarm unable repeat play the sound.
3. Remove program function unable to run properly.

hard reset and soft reset also same....
now it unable read the program correctly from micro sd card.... some more can't delete file from file explorer... network wizard failure.....
maybe i try to hot swap the SIM and micro SD ?
how to resolve ???

well.. then you probably have to reflash your ROM.

have you reflash your ROM, sometimes reflashing couple of time might slove your problem. after reflashing still occur then you might want to bring it back to exchange new unit.
