I don't know where to post this but i guess facial care is a part of health and fitness as your face reflects your health smile.gif

Have you guys used any good face care brands and want to recommend them?
Eg. Biotherm, Clarins, Body Shop, Clinique etc...

Do share your experiences here biggrin.gif

Most guys here will tell you REAL MEN wash their face with water only...

Afterall, they do know better.

Dude. STFU! Enough of your bullshit ok? People have the damn right to post, metrosexual or not. Nobody's as "hardcore" as you right? user posted image

I care about my facial hygiene too. So you gonna label me a pu$$y too? I think you need to reread the title of our section. Last time I checked the title of the subsection, it wasn't "Bodybuilding", it's Health and Fitness.

Since this is a Men's facial care thread... wanna ask something.
Anyone use those night cream, day cream, toner, etc etc...
Cause I wonder is it necessary.
Canopies
I use toner b4 i sleep, dunno wats the effect . just sapu lar , summore very cooling also.

Polaris
I'm using dermalogica cleanser now for about a month, still too early to tell the diff.

General dryness and irritation has been less though.

Compared to other cleansers, this one's not foam based, which I think is better as you really don't want to use induatrial SLS detergent on your face every day.

Using dove's facial wash.. good stuff.. doesn't leave my skin dry after washing compare to products like Nivea and Neutrogena or however u spell it.

I tried to use Nivea Men facial care. Somehow, my face doesn't look that clean with that. I used to use Biore for Men which gives me a fresh look on my face but then my face gets pretty dry with that.

btw, simple products are good because they don't smell, and affordable too. The Body Shop products are great too... no animal testing.

I'm currently on Ponds White Beauty.. laugh.gif ...I've tried Clean and Clear..Nivea..Loreal...i think ponds just suits me best...
Aurora
Nivea Oil Control. No soup content. So when you wash your face, you won't have a thick latter of white foam. It's good when used in public toilet to avoid really embarassing moment, eg. after some really sweaty sports, you want to hang out with your friends for drinks, so you change and wash it up.
Kelv
Anyone tried Uberman product?
Recently saw in advertisement and Giant supermarket.
Mythras231
Try SEBAMED . Im using them and it works out for me . You can get them at Guardian or Watson .

There are : Washing Foam , Toner , Face gel and pimple gel.
sathiya.roopan
Anyone tried "Tholsom" before?
I'm using it and it has been really helpful. My face last time lot of pimple and very oily. But since using this product a lot of improvement. I'm using
CODE
Tolsomâ„¢ Skin Protective Lotion with SPF 15
and
CODE
Tolsomâ„¢  Facial Cleansing Foam
. Both products are damn effective so far.

If anyone would like to try a sample...pls let me know. I'm a distributor for it...

I use biore men's scrub for many years..really good product..got no side effect.. icon_rolleyes.gif
Amaru
Wah, so many different recommendations.

I use nothing except normal tap water to wash my face. So far no major problems, although I do get the occasional pimple.

However, I still have a lot of blackheads on my nose, and oily complexion. Think one of these days I'll try one of the suggested products to get rid of them.

Added on July 20, 2008, 2:02 pmcome, let me share mine..
1st, the most important thing is not what product u use but the water u use to wash ur face..
since KL's water is extremely dirty (muds), i use filtered water instead..
body shop, neutrogena, oil of olays and creams from doctor (penang) work well on me..
skin food products on the other hand not suit me..
products u used based on ur skin's condition.. different people different skin different product..
for me, once i found a suitable product, i'll stick to it.. some prefer changing products over times..
i did facial mask once a week..
it can be homemade or mask i bought (nivea), masks got many type too (clay, sheets, creams, peel off etc)
before applying mask, best is scrub ur face 1st to remove impurities that might clog pores and deter the maximum absorption..
if u are deligent, wash with warm water before facial wash and with cold water after facial wash..
apply toner if u want to, to remove dirts and close up pores..
steps will be as following:
wash, scrub, mask, wash (with cold plain water), toner, moisturiser..

take vitamin A, C, E.. for better results..
supplements for skin changes according ur need and age

anyway, its just a suggestion..
cheers

True.

I've used many brands before and even consulted with dermatologist when I had serious pimple problem years ago.

Now, I'm using Ginvera Green Tea facial cleanser, it seems suitable for my sensitive skin. I only wash my face using the cleanser once a day before going to sleep and the rest of facial washes (during bathing and etc) is using plain water. I used to wash my face using the cleanser twice a day but my face condition getting worse. Probably the pH is not right.

Yeah, I took supplements too such as Grape seed oil and vitamin C.

A good sleep and rest do help to maintain a good complexion.

Well that's from me smile.gif
richard0304
me using lorael white perfect.. so far so good for me. have been using for 5 years...
