I have no tips regarding interview, but I think it's hard to find parking there. So, be early ! If you park your car freely around at the road side, make sure you can move your car before 10:00AM - that is the time DBKL starts "Jalan-Jalan Keluar Saman".

Is it CIMB (the investment bank) or CIMB BANK?? Well, there is a major DIFFERENCE between those two.. Eventhough both of them under the same holding company.

I've been with CIMB Bank before (formerly known as Bumiputra-Commerce Bank).. Honestly speaking, I'm glad that i leave the Bank, otherwise, I'll be dying of frustration... It's a nitemare dealing with the lousy HRD... No need to worry about the interviewlah...

IT could be in JTP (masjid jamek) or Bukit Damansara. What kinda position you are looking for? Im not sure whats this business banking about

Yes is at the JTP side. Yesterday the dept ppl call me up & ask me attend the interview on coming fri. She oso not sure wat position isnt as her manager just ask her call me.

for those of you who're in i.t position at cimb.. it's a frustrating situation isn't it? having a large chunk of your autonomy outsourced..

more so when the outsourced party has a huge say at how things are done..

nope, i've left the i.t department/division quite sometime back..
it's not a good place to build a career with today (because of the easy availability of outsourcing)

mm..actually im interested in banking industry technology. I had once applied for vendor management in CIMB , but I think is kaput ald..haha...

would the IT vendor management have future? I do not see much bank offering this position... (first time i saw in jobstreet too.)

I might want to target on this line if good future.. (in terms of money..haha). In my thinking....more and more big company outsourcing their IT... I believe it would be bright future ? right no ?

just received an interview invitation for anayst progmmer at CIMB on next Tuesday....haisshhh need to attend written test too huh....I hate test..

basically a 3-parts test plus an essay (3+ 9 + 2 questions i think).

part 1 & 2 will be like judging the next diagram by looking at the trend of the previous diagrams. not so difficult but time is quite limited (10 mins + 15 mins). part 3 is more of mathematical with 30 mins duration, i found it tough, probably i have not been doing maths for ages.

the last one is an essay, not a difficult one, you should be able to answer all.

i had attended the interview before, I had passed the first interview with high marks i think...spend more than 30min to do the part A, B and C. Those question just nightelf81 mentioned. They called me up for a second interview which i think get hired already. But, haiz.... i accept the offer of another company, i signed the agreement already. I reject to go for the 2nd interview.

Joining HR directly is a little hard because they need you to know a little about the bank before they induct you into HR. The reason is quite obvious as you know. I know some HR people in CIMB and they worked in the bank for at least 3-5 yrs before they were even considered for HR.

just received call from CIMB HR guy mentioning i'm shortlisted for the second interview... kinda surprised coz i think i've done poorly in the IQ test hehehehe....

but my first impression when i came to CIMB IT dpt at dmnsara hummphh i dunno...still prefer environment in my current workplace here in bangi...anyway i'm still going for the 2nd interview..hopefully CIMB will offer much more interesting staff benefits.. (",)
