I already take out my stock savvy's Clarion HU. Gud news for me is i have AUX input (the red n white input) at the back of my HU ( which we can connect directly to our mp3 player such as iPod etc.)..n i'm a mp3 player freak.

the thing is how to activate my AUX input ??There is no button to activate aux in. Juz CD n radio.

Is somebody out there know how to do that?

I'm searching on the internet n find out it will involve electronic
modification n the bad news is i'm electronic idiot

anyone know how to solve this or at least the place that has expertise to do this??

my Pioneer has aux input like this too.....

and also the same like yours at first.....only have CD and Radio as source. this is because at that time, i did not enable the AUX input as source. this was done with a few button presses which I can't remember.

you might want to check your manual for your Clarion and see how you can enable the aux input.

Hey BridgestoneRE711,

u mentioned in the above post tht its possible to connect RCA cable to old waja model.

How does that work?

I've got a 2004 waja model. Aux is a optional mode. I got hold of a RCA red & white cable whre d opposite end is a headphone jack. Therefore this allows me to connect it to my Creative Zen mp3 player. Only problem is, i've seen 2-3 car electrical & wiring shops, and they all say the stock Clarion player does not have socket for red n white plug. I however don't believe it as it's clearly written in the user manual that it's possible. After your post, i tried to look in the manual on how to take off the HU, there's nothin written on that. Can't seem to do it with my bare hands. How do i sort tis out?

ure advice is very much needed n appreciated....these darn workshops these days r useless.....apparently i'm suppose to fix in an amplifier or what not....scumbags they are...not all...but the ones i've seen...

lookin fwd to ure detailed reply...nt much of a wiring/electrical or car person....cheers!

Savvy's clarion has only a pair of RCA out..no input at all.

This clarion HU's manually activated aux in thingy had been raised many times in this forums.

according to my understanding, by looping it with 1.5kohm resistor, the aux function will b activated. then press the CD/AUX button. in our case, i think we need to press MODE button (since this button use to activate cd player).

if this method can be use in our savvy, when pressing MODE it will go to cd. press twice will go to aux. again will go back to radio.

any1 care to try it first? tongue.gif btw, am not responsible. hehe.
