cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif mommy...
ronnie
i managed to get one file from it only... how sad.
rayfoo
went to the link he gave me, but shown there suspended
ronnie
I'm thinking that the Webhosting company has already suspended his web account. Nothing we can do but wait till he sort it out with his provider.
calvin
i hope he knows that too much bursting causes banning..oh well
alex82
hosting torrentflux on a share webhosting is a bad idea, torrentflux cause alot of ram usage in result will get your hosting suspended, terminate without notice.

host it on a dedicated server, vps ( virtual private server). and look that theif term and condition before signing up. some dedi, vps does't allow torrent content to be hosted..
Minority116
BolehVPN had a flux account for RM88 monthly unmetered bandwidth..
LaiN87
Aiyak!!! And I was having fun with it ._. Opening 50 connections to 1 dl file to get 300 kb/s dl speed

Too bad la.. Hope that this free trial comes back ^^
asciii
yea..it caused me some problem as da server doesnt allow to save illegal files..so..now have to think of a method where the file is not saved on the server sad.gif

anyways..i still have da hosting account..so..if you guys have other idea...post it up!
viperz982
mebbi can use da server as a tunnel for torrent communication using Htport + Htthost. i dunno how to set it up but u can give it a try hmm.gif
zamans98
doesn't work on my webhost!

* EDIT - testing on the way on other web hosting.
those who successfully download using TF, PM me the webhost. I do not want VPS package, please.
asciii
u guys have any other ideas?
alex82
To asciii

the scripts is made the way to save file on the server and not direct to another server. as far as i know 90% of share hosting does't allow you to run torrentflux.

To zamans98

There is no way around the error. You're host has disabled the shell_exec() command for security purposes.

that is the reason u use share hosting..i say better remove Tf before they find out and suspend your hosting

Ascii: Most can only be implemented with shell access

PReviously tried to host TFlux on a dedicated server... CPU usage too high for the amount of users to make it financially viable
LaiN87
Hmm... Illegal stuffs not allowed on the server huh... But TF can be used?

Since you are not allowed to store files how about using it as proxy? (Just like a few of them said)

HTTPort and HTTHost can't be used cos he can't actually gain admin access to the server and install them...

What proxy can be installed without installing and through FTP? Php or CGI?

P.S. How did they define illegal? Just by files downloaded through BT? If lets say I download linux iso... Or game setup file.. Also cannot?

LaiN87
Sounds good sounds good ^^ Later dun forget ask me to test it out for u kie? I will test it to da limit.. Bwahahaha! Just like before.
ivanjong
actually since they( hosting company ) allow u to use TF then it's already a blessing lo, just write a simple script to encode the files that u download la, but that'll add load to the hosting server, dunno they let or not la, secure the TF page by using https, access by certs only and only allow those subscriber to ge the certs. i dunno if it's legal or not la k ? it's up to you to decide, and if u know linux u should be able to add the encoding script easily, i'm using my own modified TF hosted on my own server at my CC also using those methods. just giving u ideas, it's up to implement it la
asciii
yea..thinking of doing that..but the problem is..its the file which is stored on the server itself...if you encode also...it is still stored on the server sad.gif
Diligent Sloth
You *could* install a https based proxy in it, and run the torrent client over https mode.
asciii
guys..things are going well for our main project..we will be back up real soon...
Desmond_wch
i also want it... pls teall me how??
Reuben
Just some questions...

We tried offering a TF service for a while and although we managed to reach 9 megabytes a second download from our server on a single torrent, the connection via http or ftp to our users was less than optimal requiring heavy multiparting (like up to 8 multiparts).

That along with ascii's point that the file is STORED on the server makes it a legal minefield.

How are you getting around both these problems? It seems the only benefit of TF is the ability to seed back.
