Hi,

Yes it is running b4rt and with this new version, users are allowed to use selective download. BUT the disadvantage is that how the file is written to your folder is slow. Thus, when you download, the write speed also affects your download speed. Does not matter how fast the download speed you have, if the application write speed is slow, then the download will have to wait for the file to be written to the folder then only will it be able to continue. Because of this reason, we will be moving back to the old version on this Thursday (31st May 2007) at 10 pm.

anyway, my downloads seems stuck at the moment. part 2&3 stuck at 70%, seed still connected and download speed still above 100kbs, but each time refresh, all remain the same. I really want to finish this before u begin cleaning again tonight.

Anyway good thing my files are still around. Already was afraid when I saw a different color login page. But relieved once I saw all my files are still around. smile.gif

man the website is sooooo slow, let alone the speed of the downloads thts parabolic. I know this is still experimental, but hope whatever the dicision made by this thursday will holistically improve everything. Plus im tired of having everything deleted... Am i to expect this at every trouble-shooting ? My advice, seperate the "experiments" from the paying customers. That at least boosts a degree of confidence to this "project", yes i still call it a project, and not a product. Maybe u should have extended the free-trial period before setting up the packages, its becoming more like an Air-Asia ad now. Makes me feel like I'm part of the developmant stage since i'm investing in it. My two sense.

Please do not use the old version yet as the new version is still running. Since the new version is still running, it will make the older version slow too. Please wait until we downgrade completely.

alright. didn't realize it earlier as the bookmark on my laptop was to the old version. Then came back here notice its the new version. So only then figured out what's wrong. I'll use back the new version. smile.gif

Amavant / Ascii , do you think after wipe back to the older version the server load will be lower?

the server cannot allow file name other than english???
i can rename the folder usig filezilla but not the file in ftp directory??
this make me can't dl my file into my pc....

well specifically no. The server can't handle language such as Chinese or Japanese. But there are workaround for it. You can still download the file as usual. Just copy the filename and download as usual through HTTP or FTP.

And for deletion of the file, use Multiple delete. As in tick the file you want to delete and use the multiple delete button as oppose to use the file's own delete button.

somehow today the download connection better but not wow... how come huh?

spoke too soon. ftp download is still a snail and sometimes can get disconnected. help with ftp here using flashget.

Dear Amavant Users,

Amavant servers would undergo maintenance at 10:00pm Thursday, May 31 2007.

Torspace users are advised to stop your torrent activities and transfer all your files to your machine before the mentioned maintenance time. The maintenance window would be around 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

All Torspace users could resume all your torrent activities after we broadcast the message on the server's availability within the window period.

how u can give good service to clients when your plan and services is not will planned.

get a dedicated server and host in data center with unlimited bW

i already expected problems since its new, this concept is better than vpn for my own good..coz i go college wont turn on pc..and things..so really a good pakage

about the service already return 1 week so no point i complaint.

even using vpn also fulls of problems for me last time server down, limited bandwidth (too much user)max speed just wont goes up well except anime or well seeded torrent. old torrent just cant go up more than 20kb using vpn but somehow amavant can get 100kbs

after trials and error, maybe giving beta for those newer version to user is an good idea. then only 100% switch to newer version

I didn't expect a problem to be this bad. And I bet ascii didn't either when he upgraded to the new version. Plus we were given one whole free week for compensation. I can't say anymore. And last time someone said the customer wasn't good. In my eye, can't be better than this. Fast reply from him if there's any problem, a compensation after a week of trouble. To me that is a good customer service.


EDIT> Help... I have one torrent stuck at 86.5%. Down says 27.4kb/s but its been like that since yesterday. Now I can't stop it or restart it. Just stuck there...

haha its 31 with 8 queue now. And server load is only 3.15. Accessing the web panel never been smoother. smile.gif Speed-wise seems like normal. HTTP wise, well, haven't finished any torrent yet. Will comment on that tomorrow. smile.gif

HTTP speeds can go over 800kb/s without any problem. As sweet as ever~


EDIT 2 > A bit of a problem here. My 4th torrent won't start and as any of the 1st three torrent finished, the 4th still wont start.


EDIT 3 >err.. seems like gone back to normal. weird stuff hmm.gif but one thing is for sure, the 4th torrent is still queued and will not start unless one of the 3 previous finishes.


EDIT 4 > so many edits... anyway, another problem. can't seem to stop or delete a torrent. Torrent status is "% @ Download Succeeded!" and both button for start and delete are greyed out.
