Well.. if you've watch Raise Your Voice (Hilary Duff movie..... :Þ) there's this violinist who hooked her violin into a Wah and Rotovibe...... Super cool.

If keyboardists could use guitar effects to warm and spice up their sound, I'm sure any musician could do that.
