Good new to IT graduates..
Dell will set up their first IT support center(internal support) outside US in Malaysia

According to Associated Press, Dell CEO Kevin Rollins said that the plan is to hire more than 1,000 Malaysians at the high-tech hub of Cyberjaya south of Kuala Lumpur.

From what I heard that, it's tough to get into Dell. You need to go to a series of interviews or levels.

Nope! I think only Dell do that. Most companies pay allowances but not OT. You can even claim OT if you work from home thumbup.gif
Kerry1136

My bad really..but isn't the word pay subjective?
How do you definite pay and allowance?

My current company pays/allowance RM8/hr if I work OT.
Is that consider pay or allowance?

no, u get me wrong.

i know a lot SME give OT. Even MNC but not all US MNC. Yes most of Jap MNC do give OT but not in US MNC. I only have few US MNC in my mind that give OT and also in a strict condition
Kerry1136

Your saying that they pay you in USD?
Drian
I thought US MNC give you more leave instead of OT

Leave and OT, any linkage ? rclxub.gif
David83
Most companies won't pay OT is just basic salary above certain threshold (RM2k or RM2.5k); not sure which is the exact figure.

Maybe he meant the company is compenstating that by giving more leaves instead of paying OT.

Well, I did condemn that not all companies didn't pay. It also depends on the nature of the job.

Generous meaning they can offer you a good salary and benefit package including your OT, allowance and etc.

Cruel meaning you have a pressure and tension working life and a risk of retrencement.

Most of them have it, as long as its run by ppl who did not achieve their position through skill and merit. Their only resort is to make others look bad so their mediocre performance will look better. It happens everywhere, even more so here in Malaysia since you can easily buy a degree or even get one from a so called prominent local Uni just by cheating the system.
