You're tired of TMNET's 5 KB/s throttled download speed and don't really have time to find a solution to circumvent it, the vpn service that we provide will be mostly suitable for you.
QUOTE
* Our VPN service provides
- Anonymous access to the internet (Privacy)
- Encrypted traffic between server and client with Secure Socket Layer (Proven Technology)
- Option to route certain traffic only through VPN (Reduced overhead)
- Unthrottled bandwidth with max 50 connections per client
- Stable connection
- RM 1/day with the payment of 30 days subscription in advance which means RM 30/30 days (minimum).
* Your download speed is down to several factors below :
- Line quality and stability (Attenuation, Speed, etc)
- Modem router (number of connections, port forward settings, etc)
- Uploader
* We reserve the right to reject your subscription to ensure enough bandwidth for everyone and the server is not overloaded.

If you subscribe now, I'm pretty sure you will be able to get max speed for your line as there are only a few users at the moment

. I've posted some screenshots at Bypass ... thread. Of course, the download speed still depends on the posted above.

What payment methods do you have? Not bothered about free trial - just want to compare service to secure-tunnel. My biggest issue with them is one second service interruptions which ruin my uploading on private trackers (downloading not really an issue)

Currently, only bank transfer (maybank). Uploading when downloading is not a problem but you have to make sure it's at appropriate level. Too much uploading will affect your download as well. I'm not sure about seeding though.
Here's the screenshot for today. I got a much faster speed yesterday. It must be the seeders related.

OK the issue I have at present is that a one second service interupption I get is sufficient to ruin any good upload speeds I have for several minutes (Mine is capped at 38kB/s which is the recommded cap by azureus for my setup). So the important thing for me is provision of a STABLE connection. OK count me in - can you PM the necessary details?
One final thing what are anticpated download speeds?

He must be tmnut employee aka spy. u want to know why cos if he is a dial up user, why he want to try to use this vpn. the speed will still slow. most of the user want to use vpn are steamyx user which want to bupass tmnut server to dl bt.

I fear you have a tmnut spy who subscribed to your service, just so he can find out what kind of vpn server you are running, because there is no way a dial-up subscriber would waste RM30 for vpn he cannot use.

they don't block, but they throttle your vpn speed down to zero. that's the problem with tmnut. even those guys who use relakks have experianced this.

Like I said i still have a dial up account (for jaring) which is my primary email. When you first start internet usage, if you have had for several years it will have been via a dial up account and a lot of people will stick with their initial email address as their primary address even when they get streamyx as thats the address friends etc know and its perhaps linked to forum and private torrent sites etc (mine is linked to at least half a dozen).
It does not necessarily mean they are a TMNET spy lol. You guys get too paranoid at times.

I signed up to a commercial shell and didnt use it for first couple of days - does that make me a spy for an opposing commercial shell company?

probably using sort of proxy server, and directing ur torrent client to 'just using that proxy'. Hence, the client wont mess with streamyx bandwidth.
but the other way around , im not sure. that means, normal connection might creep into vpn connection

. Unless , of course, if the vpn service is ONLY open through the proxy.

Last time, I got one friend asking if there is anyway to post political contents in a forum anonymously. Well, using VPN is one way to do that. I've explained VPN at another thread. Let me just rephrase it..
QUOTE
Generally, when a big corporation has many branches, the branch will have to get connected with the HQ to share data. Example would be bank. How they are connected? They usually use a dedicated line for themselves only for security, not connected to the internet.
Branch <------> HQ
However, such dedicated line is very expensive. Hence, Virtual Private Network was introduced. What VPN does, is connecting the branch and HQ through internet connection. Let's just say streamyx. Although the connection is through internet, it is encrypted to provide security measure and only accessible by them.
Branch <--encrypted--- Internet ---encrypted--> HQ
Now, why the term VPN? It's a private network because connection between branch and HQ is hidden from public. It's virtual because the private network is actually hidden from public by making tunnel for themselves using encryption. Not really inaccessible from outside world like dedicated line above. If the tunnel is leaking (or encryption broken), then public can tap their line.

My biggest worry is that even after using a paid VPN my speed will not increase by much as my torrents aren't popular with only about 1-2 seeds & 5-10 peers.
