I suggest skipping the Value Select series unless it can do >220 fsb.. as they seem to perform more or less the same, hit ceiling @ 220fsb +/- 5mhz

Currently testing @ 265fsb CL2.5-4-4-8-1T @2.65v
I'm impressed with the 'unknown' Promos ICs. Little is known bout these chips. I've even got it to 272fsb @ 3-4-4-8 @ 2.65v, sadly i can't get my CPU stable @ 272x14 . But Stress RAM(in SP2004) passed flawlessly. I've got a feeling, this ICs will scale quite high in CL3

My previous pair of 512mb TwinX rev1.2, not sure what chips they are cause i didnt take down the dates
285fsb @ 3-4-4-8 2T
very low results with 1T or any lower timings

KillJim,according to the House of Help's site. Ur's should be Infineon,Probably CE/BE -5
'CMX1024-3200C2 XMS3202v1.2 0522115-2 = INFINEON, Die Rev A 64M X 8'
The infineons doesn't take voltages well, probably 2.7v max would do the trick

Corsair Value Select 512MB Single Channel (Going to get another stick soon

)
Voltage at 2.7v... can use lower voltage too but lazy to find it out.. just use 2.7 for now.
No idea on chips being used. I dont think there's anyway to find out what VS chips are?

Anyways, for those On P4s (875p/865pe) or looking at any XMS series that is affordable and able to do high FSBs @ Slack timings, i recommend getting the 3-3-3-8 XMS3200 rev5.2 version.
This Promos chips are doing really well. waay beyond my expectations

they are brain power PCB
OCZ's been using brain power PCB for er.. a couple of years.. maybe 4? can't remember
corsair only certain revisions use them
3200XLv1.2
4400C25
not sure about C2 but some say they have brain power as well..
mushkin uses brain power as well
most of them u can tell by looking at one of the side of the ram
it should say B6U808 for 808 6 layer BP PCB
some will be 815 etc etc
some cheaper brain power PCB will be Dxxxxx

maybe bcoz i'm using 2.5-4-4-8 1T for 250Mhz... with 2.5-3-3-6 can do max 230Mhz only.... but weird its that i cant do CAS 2 or 3 no matter what.... weird chips

The rams are quite good actually, considering the price (rm480-rm500) . Too bad i was priming at CL2.5-4-4-8 @272fsb @ 2.65v when i smelled burning silicones.

Here's da benchies on 278fsb
As said, i believe these rams could hit higher speeds. MY testbed maxes at 272fsb.

I've heard good words for the UCCC from Corsair Value.
I've a friend that has one, what are the chances of these sticks doing good stuff on a DFI NF4 Ultra?
Board's here, stick's not. Shud I try?

wow kucing, with PAT enabled sumore
the UCCC in the other thread seems to be doing good
though the last time when i googled around ppl were saying you'd be lucky to have 1 that does 250fsb
perhaps the newer batch is good
