hi,

since you are using TT bigwater, what is your full load temp @ highest clock?

if the temp is below 46C close case, i might want to go for bigwater.

My o/c system :
specification as stated in signature (hostel PC).

The barton stepping not very sure, js know it's around 0309 batch.

Highest clock is in this thread so far didn't take temps for it but at current state idle at 40.5.
room temp is about 30-31

readings at 2.2ghz using mbm5 which remember is not even close to accurate because of the winbond 2 sensor.
1500 rpm
ilde 47 load 50

this is same as above but using the aerogate 2 thermo probe not accurate but hopefully closer
idle 40 load 43

Brandless 300W PSU here.

Edit: My stock speed is 2500+ and o/ced to 2700+.

Here's mine. . Maxed out at 2.38Ghz with 1.808V FSB:207Mhz Temp:55C. Too bad my board cannot overvolt more than 1.8 . Normal usage is 2.2GHz FSB: 195Mhz Temp: 49-53C.

How to know Barton unlock or not? My Barton 2600....

Nothing to brag at all... Stock XP 2500+ (Barton) running stock.

I have this thing against o/cing cuz they wear out your components 2-5x faster. So instead of a Proc that last 5 years, it'll last a year before it dies.

hmmm, just my personal opinion, looks like bigwater is not really good for overclocking, coz my previous HSF Aerocool DP-102 can do better than that.

depends how u o/c. If stick back to default voltage, or within +-0.05V range, the CPU can last as long as non o/c chip provided both o/c and non o/c setting has around the same temperature.

oop i meant how come the vcore set so low at 1.45 somemore.
kinda like the mobile version.

heh maybe true that the bigwater is not a stellar performer.
but i'm more into that it is really quiet at the speed i set.

and the rest of my comp is already really quiet. come home from work i thought my comp switched off, didn't hear the fans running. heh heh.

I don't know....but the o/cbility is not as good for extreme case. So, this is for downclocking CPU lol.

No more 2-2-2-11 for me as my one stick of 256MB HyperX BH5 just die on me and my other BH6 was sold to other forummer already. Now just using D43 but still can go 255fsb.
