CTP d43 suit my p4 2.6c or not?

i've tried and can reach 3.6ghz but im not sure about the stability.. never test it with prime95.. 3.4ghz prime and stable..


should be no problem.. last time im using BT-D43 can reach 250fsb with default timing..

What is the uses of Internal Thermal Control in CPU configuration on American Megatrends BIOS?

Anyway, is this hot? BIOS display 47 degree celsius and software such as everest display 45 degree celsius in win xp?

Asus P4P800 se good for overclock or not with my p4 2.6c D1 step and CTP-D43?

My computer specification :

Intel Pentium 4 2.66 Ghz 533 FSB Model 2 stepping 9 Revision D1
Asus P4S800D-X Motherboard
Kingston DDR400 Ram 512mb
PSU 400W

CPU temperature = 39 degree
Mobo temperature = 37 degree

Current FSB = 151

Well the problem is sometimes when i'm trying to raise my FSB to 155, my computer auto restart after sometimes. Can this be the PSU problem? 400W?

u r using wat psu? btw..its hard to say wheter it ur psu prob or not.. u need to test it ur self lor... i.e. see d voltage does fluctuate much or not when do primin / etc..

e0 cpu should be able to get 3.6ghz with proper cooling and good hardware combination

y i can onli oc to 3.0?if 3.1ghz then cannot enter winxp? " hardware problem" and blue screen appear.

Your mobo not very best laa for OC.

Try to increase your FSB 10 by 10 and see how far you can go. Do remember to watch out for your cpu temperature.

This is the guideline for newbs :

Limitation for Northwood core Processor :

• Keep your CPU temperature under 55 Degree Celsius
• Vcore no greater than 1.7v
• Whichever comes first, let it be your limiting factor.

Limitation for Prescott Core Processor :

• Keep your CPU temperature 65 Degree Celsius Load temperature.
• Vcore 1.525v should be your upper limits.

try increase d vcore..i belief ur proc had hit d wall... to confirm this, u need to find d max speed ur ram can run first.. use memtest

I can't find the function on the bios that can increase the vcore. Near where ?

hmm... i dunno where it shud b for ur mobo...mayb u can see it in ur manual... if dun hav, that means ur vcore is locked...

ur mobo MSI 865PE NEO-2-PS? because i have MSI 865PE NEO-2-V and MSI 865PE NEO-2-P. P stand for "platinum" with 4 slot ram.currently oc my 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz stable with this mobo.i think ur psu will be limiter factor bcause before i change my psu , i can oc to 2.6~7 onli.

psu ah?tgh kumpul duit buy whole casing with psu from moderno....maybe centurion 530 with 380 power supply

tried....playing css always restart from time to time....hl2 is a cpu hungry game might i add..huhu
