hoongji, do at least apply some cheapo silicone thermal paste.

btw, i've got a unused small tube of Zalman's thermal paste. you can hav it for free
hoongji
i did. i just found my tube of el-cheapo vantec thermal paste that came with my Vantec Iceberq fan. it was meant for GPU. but what the heck, i just applied on my CPU. seems like no difference cry.gif

I guess it's pretty seldom we'll still be using a 7 year old processor. Most apps would be too taxing at that time for it.

no difference between thermal paste for GPU or for CPU actually, same thing

hmm....your super-pi timings pretty high....with my sempron, i can reach 35 secs with no problem.. sweat.gif
Evogenix
p4 3.0GHz prescott can reach around 39-40sec with tight ram timing, and after overclocked to 4.0GHz, migh hit 30/31sec

very nice results for a 2.6c proc overclocked to 3.3GHz thumbup.gif

oc is done through your bios... but you need a good psu to get you started...cause chapalang psu will do more damage than good once you start oceing cause of unstable fluctuations in your rails...hehehe....in short kaboom will happen really soon if you OC without a good psu... laugh.gif

thanks .. but i want to try more higher.. have any tips?
current voltage CPU= 1.65v
Ram = max 2.8v
n AGP voltage.. is this for add the GCard voltage??

I think you could overclock your 1.8A to 2.4GHz or more. I am still having my mom's CPU which is a 1.6A Pentium 4 running at 2.4ghz. They are quite good overclockers but you might need to check the limit of your RAM.

I believe the multiplier is 18x100. Since you have SDRAM133, you could slowly raise the multiplier to 18*133 = 2.394ghz. smile.gif
