andx517
need help pls, i plan to get a gigabyte p35-DS3 but then now they came out latest EP35-DS3 rclxub.gif

which one better? hmm.gif

does it cause any limitation of clocking? (maybe lesser power input?)
correct me if im wrong sweat.gif

or its same like normal DS3 in just only extra energy saving feature? biggrin.gif
clawhammer
If you're overclocking, you won't be enabling power savings option so I don't think that's an issue.
andx517
oh? the power saving feature can be disable?

ya i plan to clock E2160 tongue.gif
intothefantasy
does anyone has a vdroop pencil mod for ds3L model? been having serius vdroop problem lol with my 3rd rig currently under e2160...anyone could help out ?

last time my 570J can do 4.5GHz but forgotten to make cpu-z vadilation, using Biostar 965PT some more.

anyway,if i'm those branded pc manufacturer,i will enable oc utility in those OEM mobo,if user tangan gatal and burn the mobo, ask them to buy new pc again since burn has no warranty, earn money brows.gif

Look at my sig.... got a step-by-step guide to overclocking a C2D/C2Q..... wink.gif

I'm using GA-P35-DS3.. and i wondering.. b4 this i use F4 bios and the temperature for my proc is lower than the core temp. ok.. i think that was normal.. after i update my bios to F12 the temp is increased about 10 - 15 degree celcius! and the temp is higher than the core temp.. with the same proc, same setting and so on..

i wonder is it because of my mobo problem or the F12 bios problem... sad.gif
that is the case with my E6300..

now i change into E8500 and the temp is way too high when i do some oc.. as like my sig below, i need to change my Vcore up to 1.55V to make it stable and when i put it under OCCT stress test the temp jump to 100 degree~ woooo.. damn hot! vmad.gif
i dont think the proc can operate at this kind of temp but there is no problem yet.. that is why i tought it is because of my mobo not detect the temp correctly.

anyone would like to share?
btw.. i checked the temp using Everest, Core Temp and also EasyTune 5 Pro

I am using p35-ds3 rev2.1 with f12 bios. Do i need to increase my fsb voltage and mch voltage? I am doing 3.51@503X7. I can't OCCT stable beyond 503 but i know my ram can go higher. Is it because of the mention voltage?

With such a high FSB speed, you usually need higher vFSB and vMCH voltages..... Did you set them at stock or higher?
a1098113
memset timings and trd settings? this is according to some calculations done in Anandtech.. it can help get the maximum out of your system in SP1M

Btw, what is the difference between FSB voltage and MCH voltage?

What is the default FSB and MCH voltage? I am using everest. It is not stated anywhere
