Yuor mobo is based on the 915 chipset which is not really good in overclocking. You can try slowly to push your proc to run at highest speed.

Your proc is P4 630 ..If you want to get better mobo then you can try on other chipset mobo like those 955 chipset. I got one experience to share with you,one of my fren is using Asus mobo also 915 chipset and the max FSB on the mobo is only at 240FSB. I tried on his mobo running on 240*14=3600MHz and it's stable on the 3D mark benchmarks. What's your max FSB provided on your mobo?

Aiks...i have seen woringly. That's ATI chipset one.THis type of mobo i think only for the very basic and budget use only.If want to o/c,i think better get other motherboard from it.As this mobo also come iwth build in VGA.I am not sure whether the FSB is locked or not.Sorry for saying that your board was 915chipset.

Safe range..this is hard to determine....The safetest is running on stock,no risk at all.But you can try to increment the fsb slowly to see at which state it's stable.

mikelanding, there is few tips to ensure u get a c2 board
1st. at the top of the board, above ram slots, got small capacitor with puple label.. most c1 has larger capacitor there.
2nd. ask the shopper when did the stock for that ds3 arrived. if in october, it should be c2.
And for now all c2 ds3 comes with F4 bios ..

Hmm....I just checked:
1) I got a small capacitor but the label is green instead of purple
2) My DS3 come with F4 bios
Any picture to see how the small capacitor look like?
so far I manage to OC to 430X8 with 1.525 vcore..Prime stable..temp around 71C with XP-120 and a crappy Sun-Ace fan.
Edit: There is 1 big capacitor (green label as well) near PCI-e slot...issit at that location?
Hmmm..I just take a SS from CPU-Z...Not sure it prove anything or not...

Planning to get one in the coming pc fair to reduce risk. But even then seller might have old stock. They got write anything on the board or not like mebbe rev. Xxx ?

i think another way to check the rev. would be take out the chipset heatsink and see wat is written on it
from L628(or week 29,not sure) onwards will be c2..

@gengstapo
not necessary. it's just like a new driver update, or bios update. many people think the latest should be better, but thats not alwiz true..
but as we know the c2 fixed some minor issue founded in c1, so it's better to have a newer one..
but i dont think it worth people change their c1 board just to get the newer c2..
